AGRICULTURAL LIME AND pH REPORTING
With rising pressures on farm expenditure liming is often bypassed. Acidity can affect crop performance dramatically. We advise testing is carried out every three to four years to determine lime requirements, and also offer a range of liming products to compliment this service.

PH TESTING AND REPORTING
- With over 25 years experience of providing clear and accurate pH reports, we feel we can offer you a unique service. Liming is an expensive but necessary operation on acidic soils, and most farmers would like to minimise lime usage. We understand the need for accurate and objective reporting. Our background in soil science allows us to pinpoint areas that require lime and make the correct recommendations to match future crop and soil requirements.
- We continually strive to improve the way we work. Defining acids areas within a field by using GPS logging of soil boundaries provides the optimum information to GPS controlled, variable-rate spreaders.
- The map-based system that has been used by us for many years, using waypoints within a field or around its perimeter, has served us very well, and will continue to be employed. For farms that prefer the GPS approach, we can supply contractors with the digital information needed to spread lime using GPS technology.

AGRICULTURAL LIME SUPPLY
- We supply ground Cotswold lime, ground Mendip lime, or screened chalk for customers throughout the south and southwest. We always supply the most cost effective material for your individual needs, since we have carried out tests showing that there is little practical difference between the various products on offer, as long as they meet certain specifications. We provide high quality products at competitive prices.
- We use a range of professional contractors to spread your lime. Our long-term relationship with these contractors allows you to be confident of a professional spreading job.
- The price of lime and chalk rises with monotonous regularity, due to haulage increases and environmental levies imposed on quarrying companies, so we are always looking for alternative sources of lime. We have been supplying chalk from a small quarry in the Ramsbury area for 2 years; the on farm savings in the Marlborough area have been significant.
